U don't and masses are stupid. They elect thiefs, all over the world.

meanwhile some of the legally available old games are just spreading virus, literally.

see https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=34101899

That seems to indicate that the game has a vulnerability which can be exploited. That is very different from actively spreading a virus.

And most old games are run within emulators (even something like dosbox) anyway. All you can do is infect that.

But in those days viruses were truly rampant. I have many Amiga disks with viruses on them. As my Amiga had no hard drive and only 1 floppy there wasn't many places for them to go though.

And some legally available contemporary mainstream games are also viruses!

Hello kernel-level anti cheat developers :)

Only few people a year die from shark attacks, imagine writing about that type of low stats. ? Ridiculous.

On the other hand dozens die everyday from car crashes in USA alone. Nobody even mentions that much to relative to that.

Being landed on by a dolphin is even rarer, imagine reporting on that!

(just the event) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zOHULsrvtTE

the fact that fatal car crashes are so common is precisely why you don't hear much about them on national news. But most local and regional news stations tend to cover car accidents rather often, if not daily in areas with lots of traffic reporting.

"they aren’t taking a directional position yet"

Fixed it for you.

What exactly making it accesible to trillion $ capital is going to lead? lower price for decades? stable price for fixed supply asset? Just think :)

Headline from today:

> SEC says Bitcoin ETF filings are inadequate

Sorry for your loss

Sorry to say it but majority of book reviews are just stupid and not informative in anyway. The idea that a book can be reviewed in less than 1-2 page + not knowing and checking background of reviewer is just creates garbage. Similar to Amazon reviews etc.

You mean like Paypal etc and how they can just ban you and take your money? + Many countries can't access to "centralised version" by default. Imagine internet being country restricted and centralized so they can just choose which country/people can access it. That would be horrible

How much of that lost is directly related to Intel and how they're soo behind in tech with thinkpads?

Yes but I'm more curious about how they archive the content at the first place. It's not tamper-proof so it gives them a power.

> it gives them a power

To what purpose? And why would their integrity be different from other archival services, like libraries and museums?

Who controls the past, controls the future. Who controls the present, controls the past.

O for crying out loud. Where do people come up with this nonsense?

Facebook acquired Oculus 9 years ago, spent billions yet active users are similiar to crypto probably. So another tech like you said exist and Crytpo is being used for meaningful things too. But you are just too ignorant to even learn about it, sadly. There many like you here.

Well don't get me started on VR either (FOV, FPS, motion sickness, limited applications, etc). FYI billions on a proprietary commercial product from one vendor isn't even in the same universe as an order of magnitude more investment across an entire diverse ecosystem. What's your point here?

Too ignorant to learn about it? I built and ran a 25kW Ethereum mining operation with 200 Nvidia Pascal GPUs in 2017. I've been running my own nodes and writing and deploying smart contracts since then. I have every wallet you can think of. I own ENS names. I developed a solution[0] to index and search every NFT (260m representing 100tb of data) across multiple chains (from my own self-hosted geth/bor/heimdall/Solana nodes all the way to custom ERC parsers). I've been to multiple dev and industry conferences. I've had multiple high level meetings with just about everyone in the space from Alchemy, Consensys, and Coinbase to blue chip crypto VC firms like Multicoin Capital, Sequoia, and A16z for my various crypto projects.

I could go on and on. I'd argue there aren't many people out there that have my knowledge and experience this wide and deep across the ecosystem. Please do tell - what experience do you have?

But yes, keep dismissing me out of hand by calling me ignorant and providing nothing factual to support your narrative.

I have done a lot of those things too. And still do them. Check it out again in a year. Many apps are being written and will be deployed.

It helps libgen, sci-hub stay funded and makes Argentines, many other nations hold USD equivalent. It makes remittance much more cheaper and easier too
