I used Thinkful for a while, and the mentor who they paired me up with was top-notch. Extremely helpful guy, who helped me tremendously in the short time I was with the program.

Hadn't heard of Songza but just gave it a download.

I like the "Decade" breakdown and various genres you can filter by. The lack of genres or granular filters in Rdio is my biggest gripe with them (apart from my few issues with Rdio, it's still my favorite music streaming service).

Hover is without a doubt the best domain registrar I've dealt with.

e: nevermind they fixed it

I just used Pure for the first time on a small Flask site I'm building and it's been great. Love it as an alternative to bootstrap.

Not wanting to spend a ton of time designing the site (yet), but also wanting to keep it small, made Pure the perfect fit.

It seems far easier to learn Ruby just by the sheer support it has from all the online coding resources like Treehouse, One Month Rails, etc. I have yet to find a similar type of course or resource for Python.

Anecdotally, it was far easier for me to get a simple web app up and running with rails than it was with django, but this has much more to do with the resources I had available to me (like the ones I mentioned earlier) that walked me through rails that I didn't have for django.

Cool, I'd be interested in hearing your experience with generating sales and how your app performs. I recently released an app and saw, first hand, how difficult it is to get any traction behind it, even with a small following and engaged users.

Very inspiring. Lately, I've found more interest in reading about people building businesses surrounding curated physical goods rather than digital goods or services.

Thanks. Any specific aspect you would like to read about?

I've been meeting to get Dash after hearing about it on a recent podcast (can't remember which one though). Assuming since it's in your "toolbox" you enjoy using it?

Dash's search speed puts Xcode to shame. It makes development much, much quicker for me.

Dash is still good but not quite as essential with Xcode 5 which is MUCH faster than Xcode 4 for documentation searching.

Dash also has all the other docs you need (C/C++ standard libraries, SQLite and Flask/Postgres/etc. for the server side and even man pages).

And in two days you will not be allowed to submit apps built with Xcode < 5 to AppStore.

Dash is wonderful. If you use Alfred, there's a fantastic workflow you can get set up as well.

It's not really a product but I'm working on a username generator that I use occasionally when I need a new user name for an account.

Box jump is great, really addicting. Thanks for ruining my productive evening!

It's a clone of the "Space is Key" series from Chris Jeff -see (for part 2): http://chris-jeff.com/games/spaceiskey2/
