I second everyone that suggested finding a tech meetup. Join a couple of them in your location and stick with the best one.

Make friends with a couple of locals who've already "done it". And maybe switch out some of the business books for podcasts that are of immediate relevance to your chosen field.

"I really do wonder if we might benefit from teaching programming like a trade discipline instead of expecting devs to do a degree like computer science."

Or some type of hybrid program.

Shades of the Breaking Bad finale. 150 meters - is that considered a far distance for an assassination of this magnitude?

150m is perfect distance for assassination.

Target shooting ranges for full bore rifles are always > 100m. In competitive shooting competitions range is 300m free rifle/standard rifle from three positions (kneeling, prone, standing). In military sharp shooting competitions ranges are 500-1000 meters.

Military qualification ranges for service rifles typically test shooting from 150 and 300 meters.

Military sharp shooting ranges and competitions have distances >500 meters.

Not really, especially electronically controlled and aimed/targeted. Maybe they even used 50 caliber, just to be super sure.

Yeah - more or less - but a pyramid scheme thrives on recruitment of new members. In case of MLM it's more of a bonus.

"Miracle Milly" was born in 2011 and as of 2018 was still alive. Apparently a "controversial Korean laboratory" has successfully cloned her 49 times for a commercial breeder.

Ugh. Well, that's just heartbreaking.
