We started using Polytomic for only reverse ETL, but are now working to move our ETL processes to it as well.

They've been really great to work with and they've been able to handle our data as we've scaled at Vercel.

Congrats on the launch!

Thank you! We're happy to serve.

They have the highest top speed. It was that way in Mario Kart 64 as well. They have the worst acceleration though.

This is not true. The lighter characters Yoshi and Peach and Toad had higher top speed in 64. https://tasvideos.org/GameResources/N64/MarioKart64#:~:text=...

I actually just took Nick up on the offer to call or text, and we just got off the phone. We chatted about how we can find people to meet even though we just moved to a new city.

Definitely going to try hosting our own party.

My understanding of CSS has gotten a lot better from using Tailwind.

Same here. The CSS that each Tailwind class corresponds to is very visible in the documentation itself.

Have you reached a stage where you no longer feel its a good idea or are you sticking with it?

I considered using it for a few projects but once I start I feel it too much work with no payoff.

This has been my experience as well. Tailwind is a good pair of support wheels, but it gets annoying after a while, and is difficult to maintain long-term.

What make it difficult to main long term for you?

I think this is a pretty incredible move. I went through Lambda's full-stack program part-time, but I would definitely say it leans more front-end heavy. This will be great for those that really want to focus on the back-end development.

(full disclosure, I was employed at Lambda while going through the part-time program)

There are competitors.

https://n8n.io/ is the open source version https://tray.io/ is more of an enterprise version, and better for people that are more technical https://www.integromat.com/ is considered the cheaper alternative

There are people who do that, such as https://www.luhhu.com/

Using Stadia with my Chromecast wired to ethernet has been pretty incredible. Very rarely have I felt like I had a degraded gaming experience.

Who's to say that the nursing side of Lambda won't be accredited?

I was a little confused on how this differed from GitLab CI. The CEO of Zeit gave me a response:

https://twitter.com/rauchg/status/1108035208903684096

"GitLab + Now gives you a multi-cloud, multi-language/framework serverless solution with built-in CI/CD, TLS (Let's Encrypt), DNS with zero maintenance or configuration.

Most CI solutions involve painful config, fine-tuning & dedicated folks keeping it up to date."
