We're a spatial analysis web software for retailers to place optimal new locations. We're currently hiring a Full Stack Developer and a Head of Marketing.
We want to keep the team located here in Waterloo rather than having remote employees at this point. Technologies that we work with include PostGIS and Python for analysis with a focus on machine learning to predict sales, and React with the Flux design pattern for the frontend with Leaflet maps.
PiinPoint is a geospatial mapping web and mobile application that turns the complex process of retail market analysis into an easy to use software focused on helping retailers find their next store location. We also enable them to monitor the performance of their current stores and optimize their portfolios.
We use Python on the Pyramid framework as well as PostgreSQL and PostGIS for fast geospatial queries. We also have adopted Facebook's React and Flux architecture for our frontend. We highly value clean, testable, and efficient code and keep our culture very engineering focused.

We are looking for a front end software engineer to work full time with our core team in Kitchener, Ontario. Our team is comprised of University of Waterloo students and graduates who went through YCombinator this most recent winter.
Our solution is a web application that is heavily map based, so there are plenty of fun challenges that go along with this, particularly optimization and spatial data visualization. You will work heavily with the Leaflet javascript library for interactive maps.
