This is fun, Playwright is a python wrapper for a node lib. So we have Next.js (full stack js/ts), with a Python backend (???), that uses a wrapper for a js/ts lib, all we need now is to shell out to node from inside that script and we have peak inception lol.
While I can't help you with a car, I share your desire of wanting things with replaceable parts, so I leave you with this, the coffee maker version your salad spinner, https://us.moccamaster.com. All parts replaceable.
espresso machines are maybe in a different class of "coffee maker" but it seems like even the cheapest of those is pretty easy to service/repair/source parts.
or in some cases even upgrade to improve capabilities...
I did the gaggiauino mod to my gaggia classic and basically everything in there is just pipes and wires... the most complicated single part on the original is the vibratory pump. I'm pretty sure i could keep that same machine going indefinitely with access to parts.
I’m about the same age as you. I was raised in a strict christian home. For a long time, I thought that was normal. It wasn’t. I didn’t see it clearly until my late thirties, sitting in therapy for depression. That’s when I learned it was abuse.
The best thing my therapist told me was to cut off contact. I did. And I’ve never been happier. I’ve got my own family now. We live with love, not fear. We tell the truth. We don’t play mind games.
If my parents ever want to make peace, they’ll have to admit they were dishonest and tried to control me. But they won’t. They still say they did what they thought was best.
For me, I just look forward to the day I stop thinking about them, or the day I hear they’ve passed.
I realised over the years that many friends of mine went through troublesome experience because of the faith of their parents.
I genuinely believe my parents were A) trapped in a system B) wanted the best for their kids.
Having kids it would break my heart if they would cancel the contact - but at the end if parents can’t admit mistakes maybe as Christian they have not learned humility and asking for forgiveness- alao something is see my parents struggling. I am willing to forgive and forget - but I still see a same extreme conviction that what they do is all correct and they way to live in faith.
PS: Edit - I just saw you wrote: Love not fear! Thats so powerful- fear was the best description of our education as well and I am so sad about this… why did it has to come that far?!
all banks. Any bank that can indefinitely freeze your money and get away with it will do it. And now that everyone is doing it, the reputation damage is minimized.
All banks can, but it’s not true to say all banks will. It’s also not reasonable to suggest that some banks aren’t worse than others, so when someone wants to know of a less unsafe bank we should recommend one.
Some banks do things that make you never want to do any business with them. Wells Fargo would open checking/savings/credit card accounts without their customers knowing, then Wells Fargo fired thousands of employees as a result of being caught. I will do everything possible to never to business with them.
I actually wanted to know, real person proof

I'm going back and forth between the different models seeing which works best for me but I'm trying to learn how to read and use other people's feedback in making their decisions.
I do something similar except I make up a custom email every time. (No plus addressing at all, everything without a valid destination goes to the default account) It's rare something doesn't like it, most automated systems use the reply to header. Email lists are usually the ones least tolerant.
No, most companies that get the special email treatment don't accept email from customers anyway.
If I did it, I would have to set it manually. I don't know of an email client that supports setting the From header to the address in the To header of the relied-to message, but it feels like something that would be fairly easy to do as a Thunderbird plugin or whatever.
