It was a poor strategic move from Dem leaders. They had a class of rich oligarchs that were favorable towards their side, and their companies were filled with left-leaning employees. But they squandered it away.
At this point, Democrats have lost every single one of their core demographics. Just in 2012, they were able to convince people to elect a Black man with a Muslim sounding name against all of the stupidness about him not being a “real American” and wanting to bring “Sharia law” to the US.
Obama knew not to be dragged into the culture wars at the time as did Bill Clinton.
Biden is not an out and proud fascist who literally tried to steal the last election. (Nor a rapist, felon, or insurrectionist.)
I hate that we are seemingly expected to pretend that Trump’s reign is totally normal and on the up-and-up now that he won. Man is a monster who deserves to be languishing in the deepest pit we have available, not wining and dining tech CEOs.
Presidency is an Institution… whether someone you like is there or someone you do not like is there it is an Institution that needs to be respected and protected. if you do not like who is there next 4 years (I don’t) work hard next 4 years to elect a different guy (won’t be a gal)… until then…
